Kiwanis Visited By Santa and Chipley Head Start

At the weekly club luncheon on Tuesday, December 8th, Del Corbin, Chairman of the Youth Services Committee presented a check to Mrs. Julie Dillard (shown at right) on behalf of the Washington County Youth Fair.  The Fair will be held during the third week in February, 2010.

The weekly program was presented by the Chipley Head Start.  Head Start is operated by Tri-County Community Services in Holmes, Washington and Walton Counties.  Cynthia Brown, Center Coordinator (shown at left) introduced her staff and the children currently enrolled in the Chipley Head Start.

The children then sang two Christmas Carols:  “Jingle Bells”, and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.   Each child then received a present from “Santa”.  The presents were donated by the Chipley Kiwanis Club.

Mrs. Patsy Justice then recognized Rodney and Pam Whitfield, who portrayed “Santa” and “Mrs. Claus” (shown below).
