Chipley Kiwanis Club
Annual Holiday Fruit Sale Kicks-off October 12th -
October 8, 2010
Chipley,
FL,
Friday, October 8, 2009. The Chipley Kiwanis Club
announced today that its annual holiday fruit sale,
which has been a highly successful fund raiser for
many years, will kick-off Tuesday, October 12th,
when Kiwanis members will be provided order forms
and pricing.
For the third year in
a row, pricing has remained basically the same for
all package sizes. In addition to the 20# to 40#
boxes of Navel Oranges, Ruby Red Grapefruit,
Tangelos, Red Delicious Apples, and the always
popular Gift Trio boxes (mixed, citrus, or apples,
oranges & grapefruit), the club will also be
offering locally grown Satsuma’s in a 20# box.
Exact pricing will be released shortly but will
range from $15.00 to $35, with most 40# boxes at
$25.00.
Orders can be placed
with any Kiwanis member after October 12th until
Tuesday, December 7th, with deliveries of orders
around December 16th – 17th. Orders can also be
placed through Stones Chipley Packing Company, Hwy
277 or phone 638-0673, and the Community South
Credit Union, 1044 U.S. Hwy 90 East, or phone
638-8376. Student members of the Key Clubs and
Builders Clubs sponsored by Kiwanis in Chipley and
Vernon schools will also have order forms.
Information will also be available at the Kiwanis
website below.
This year the fruit
sales will be augmented by the sale of a gourmet nut
selection in a 3# designer can that contains no
peanuts. The gourmet nuts will be available at
selected businesses throughout the county starting
the first week of November with a special marketing
rack display.
The Kiwanis Club of
Chipley has been providing support to youth oriented
events and programs for 70 years and last year
supported 31 organizations throughout the county.
The club meets Tuesdays at Pattillo’s Restaurant in
the middle of the Washington-Holmes County Technical
Center (WHTC) at Noon. For an invitation to lunch,
contact any Kiwanian or call David Solger,
Membership Chairperson, at (850) 638-1276. Kiwanis
will be conducting its traditional holiday fruit
sale in November and December.
