Chipley Kiwanis Club
Gets Update About Local News
The
Chipley Kiwanis Club will sponsor and moderate a
Political Forum on Tuesday, July 13th at
the Washington County Ag Center on Highway 90.
Starting with a meet and greet session at 5:30 P.M,
the forum will conclude at 9:00 P.M. This
forum will be strictly moderated by the Chipley
Kiwanis Club and is in no way intended to be an
endorsement or support for any particular political
candidate, party or special interest group.
The event is free to the public. Refreshments
will be available. Proceeds will go to support
scholarships and other educational opportunities for

An
Interclub of four members from Bonifay were present.
The Bonifay Kiwanis Gospel Sing will take place on
Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 at the Bonifay
High School. The Sing will begin at 6:00 P.M.
and continue late into the evening.
The
Chipley Watermelon Festival is this weekend.
The parade will begin at 10:00 A.M. The Chipley
Kiwanis Club members will cut and serve free
watermelon beginning at about 10:30 A.M.
During
the weekend of July 4th, there will be
fireworks in three different communities. In
Bonifay, the Recreation Center will open at 5:00
P.M. Several food vendors will be serving food
at the site. Fireworks will begin about 9:00
P.M.
Orange
Hill will have fireworks on Sunday, July 4th
at about 9:00 P.M.
The
Town of Vernon will also have fireworks at 9:00 P.M
on Saturday, July 3rd.
The
next Kiwanis event is the Dinner Theater. It
will be held on Thursday, August 12th.
The
Kiwanis Club of Chipley is in its 69th
year of providing support to youth oriented events
and programs and last year supported 36
organizations throughout the county. The club meets
Tuesdays at Pattillo’s Restaurant in the middle of
the Washington-Holmes County Technical Center (WHTC)
